Clamp Carrier Mounting

In this popular type of drill-free mounting, the clamp carriers are attached to the top and bottom of the open window sash. Please note that clamp carrier mounting is not suitable for all wooden windows, as these do not have a surrounding rubber seal, and therefore the clamp carriers have no support. The clamp carriers can be used with window thicknesses of 5 - 24mm with a surrounding rubber seal. For mounting above and below the window sash, you need 15mm of space each to allow the window, including the installed clamp carriers, to still be opened and closed.

Suitable for:

Not suitable for:
✘ Flush windows
✘ Wooden windows without seal
✘ Rounded window frames

Glass Strip Mounting

Mounting on the narrow strip directly in front of the glass – also called glass strip or window recess – is the classic and simultaneously most popular mounting option. The pleated blind is attached directly above and below the window glass. Please note that the glass strip should have a minimum depth of 15mm and a maximum bevel of 15°! For a honeycomb pleated blind, please ensure a distance of at least 15mm between the window and the pleated blind to prevent heat buildup.

Wall Bracket Mounting

In this type of mounting, the pleated blinds are screwed onto the frame.

Stick & Fix Glass Strip Adhesive Technique

In this type of drill-free mounting, the pleated blinds are glued to the narrow strip directly in front of the glass (glass strip / window recess) using transparent adhesive plates. Please note that the glass strip should have a minimum depth of 16mm and a maximum bevel of 15°! For a honeycomb pleated blind, please ensure a distance of at least 15mm between the window and the pleated blind to prevent heat buildup.

Not suitable for:
✘ Windows without glass strip
✘ Wooden windows
✘ Rounded glass strips
✘ Angled glass strips over 15°
✘ Sunshades over 1.4m²

Stick & Fix Window Frame Adhesive Technique

In this type of drill-free mounting, the pleated blinds are attached directly to the window sash using white adhesive plates. Please note that the glass strip should have a minimum depth of 11mm.

Skylight Pleated Blinds

Do I need to measure accurately?
Our skylight pleated blinds are custom-made and work best with as precise measurements as possible.

Please measure carefully using a steel tape measure or a metal measuring tape, not a fabric tape measure.

Measuring Based on Skylight Model Number?

For skylight manufacturers Velux®, Roto®, and Fakro®, the common models and sizes are already stored in our shop. Simply select your window model in the configurator. More information is available in the measuring instructions. Please carefully verify the stored measurements!

Notes:
When installing honeycomb pleated blinds, a distance of at least 15mm between the blind and the glass pane is recommended. Dachfenster Riese assumes no liability for any damages caused by faulty installation.
